Q. What type of franchise is available?
A. The franchise offered is for the establishment and operation of a restaurant and bar offering an extensive menu of Italian favorites that includes appetizers, soups, salads, pasta dishes, pizza entrees, desserts and other related menu items with a full service bar and a game and sports area and also provides banquets and catering.
Q. How much does the franchise cost?
A. The estimated total investment minimum necessary to begin operations of a UCCELLO'S franchise is $1,032,100.
Q. How much is the fee for continuing support services?
A. The continuing services or "royalty fee," is 4% of your gross sales and is paid weekly. This fee entitles you to use the "Uccello's®" service mark, use of distinctive system, marketing assistance, ongoing business development and counseling, and other benefits that come with being a UCCELLO'S franchise.
Q. Will I have an exclusive territory?
A. You will not receive an exclusive territory. We will grant you a territory (called an "area of primary responsibility" or "area"), defined by zip codes or other physical, political or natural boundaries.
Q. What about advertising?
A. UCCELLO'S's name and reputation is an important part of our business. You will spend a minimum of $10,000 on grand-opening advertising during the first three months of operations. You will also spend up to .5% of your gross sales per month on local advertising. In addition, you will be expected to make Marketing Fund contributions of up to 1.5% of your weekly gross sales.
Q. What kind of training can I expect as a franchisee?
A. The initial training covers all material aspects of the operation of a UCCELLO'S franchise. You'll receive comprehensive training both in the classroom and real life, on the job training as well.
Q. What is the term of the Franchise Agreement?
A. The initial term of the Franchise Agreement is ten years from the date the Franchise Agreement is signed. The franchise is renewable for three successive terms of five years each, providing you have complied with the provisions of the Franchise Agreement.
